Checking and Extending Temperature Sensors

  • Safety Measures

    • Turn off the boiler power supply.
    • If it is necessary to replace the OV NTC heat carrier sensor, drain the water from the boiler.
  • Removing the Front Panel

    • Remove the front panel of the boiler by disconnecting the 4 clips (two at the top and two at the bottom).
    • Disconnect the control display.
    • Disconnect the grounding cable from the front panel.
  • Identification of Temperature Sensor

Please watch the video to see what the temperature sensor looks like.

The boiler includes three temperature sensors that are connected to the main control board:

    •  AIR NTC – room air temperature sensor
    • DHW NTC – indirect heating water heater temperature sensor
    • OV NTC – heat carrier temperature sensor at the boiler outlet
  • Checking the Temperature Sensor

    1. To check the sensors, you will need a multimeter set to resistance measurement mode at 200 kΩ.
    2. Disconnect the temperature sensor you want to check from the control board.
    3. Place the multimeter probes on its contacts.
    4. At room temperature, the measured value should be 100 kΩ. If the measured value differs significantly from 100 kΩ or is zero, the sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced.

If necessary, repeat this process for the other temperature sensors.

  • Replacing the AIR NTC, DHW NTC Temperature Sensor

If the sensor is faulty, follow the instructions to replace it:

    1. Disconnect the faulty sensor from the control board.
    2. Carefully remove it from the boiler.
    3. Install the new sensor in the previous location.
  • Replacing the OV NTC Heat Carrier Temperature Sensor

    1. Drain the water from the boiler.
    2. Unscrew the sensor from the housing.
    3. Disconnect it from the control board.
    4. Install the new sensor in reverse order.
  • Extending the Temperature Sensor Cable

Attention! For accurate temperature readings, the total length of the cable should not exceed 10 meters.

To extend the cable of the AIR NTC or DHW NTC temperature sensor:

    1. Cut the temperature sensor cable at the desired location.
    2. Extend it with a two-core cable of the appropriate length and a cross-section of 0.5 to 0.75 mm².
    3. Solder and properly insulate the connections.
