Circulation Pump Configuration
The boiler is equipped with an energy-efficient variable frequency circulation pump from the brands Wilo (Germany) or DAB (Italy).
Safety Measures
Before starting work on configuring the circulation pump, make sure the boiler is powered off. Remember that the boiler is a high-energy device with potential electric shock hazards. Do not touch anything inside the boiler except for the mode switch on the pump.
-
Access to the Pump
To access the pump and configure it, follow these steps:
- Disconnect the 4 clamps on the front panel of the boiler (two at the top and two at the bottom).
- Carefully remove the front cover, avoiding disconnecting any cables.
- Disconnect the control display and grounding cable attached to the front panel.
- Attach the control display with magnets to the boiler’s body.
-
Pump Configuration
Once you have access to the pump, you can start configuring it:
- Supply power to the boiler.
- Turn on the boiler by pressing the power icon (the icon light will change from red to white), to start configuring the pump.
- WARNING! Be careful, as many elements inside the boiler are live.
- Use the control button on the pump to switch between operating modes.
-
Operating Modes and Speed
- Variable Differential Pressure: Recommended for two-pipe systems with radiators.
- Constant Differential Pressure: Recommended for underfloor heating systems or single-pipe systems with radiators.
- Constant Speed: Recommended for systems with fixed flow rates, such as for an indirect water heater (DHW) or hydraulic separator (hydraulic arrow).
- Pump Speed: Set from 1 to 3, where:
- 1 corresponds to the minimum pump speed.
- 3 corresponds to the maximum pump speed.
- The speed should be set so that all parts of the heating system are evenly heated when the boiler is in operation.
Note: If an indirect water heater (DHW) or hydraulic separator (hydraulic arrow) is installed in the system with the boiler, it is recommended to set the “Constant Speed” mode and speed number 3.
-
Installing the Front Panel
- After configuring the pump modes, turn off the boiler power before installing the front panel.
- Place the control display back in its position on the front panel and reconnect the grounding wire.
- Close the front panel of the boiler and snap the clamps to secure the panel in place.
